in_printer Pricing Policy

Printer Repair Rates - are based on an Evaluation Fee, plus a Cleaning and PM charge, plus the total of any Sub Assembly repair or exchange costs.
Cleaning and PM - includes cleaning, and on most printers up to $20 worth of parts, such as ribbons and worn gears.
Sub assemblies - include; print head, space motor, platen, logic board, serial card, etc.

Printer Basic Repair Cost is listed in Printer Repair Rates
Example - Okidata ML-320/321 Normal Repair Cost is [ $85 ]. This includes a [ $55 ] Evaluation Fee, plus a [ $30 ] Cleaning and PM charge which includes up to $20 of parts. If requested, we all with estimate, otherwise we will call if over the normal repair cost.

Call with estimate [ $55 ] - If requested we will prepare an estimated repair cost quote for the customer and wait for authorization to continue the repair, otherwise we will call if over the normal repair cost.

Call if over the normal repair cost . [ $85] - We proceed with the repair unless the the Normal Repair Cost [ $85 ] is exceeded. If it is, we will prepare an estimated repair cost quote and notify the customer.
If the customer decides not to proceed with the repair, or proceeds but the estimated repair cost is exceeded, we offer the following options.
Pay the additional cost to complete the repair.
Pay the Evaluation fee and get the unit back UN-repaired.
Abandon the unit and NOT have to pay any fee. (on some abandoned units, a credit will be given toward the purchase of a new printer)

Warranty will be "PL100" unless otherwise stated. - With a " P arts and L abor" warranty, only the parts replaced and the time required to re-install them will be covered as warranty for 100 days from the original repair.
Some parts are "MWX" with the warranty period set by the manufacturer.

Warranty restrictions - Damage caused by improper handling, incorrect installation, abuse, power surge, or damage caused by something being spilled into the device, is not covered by warranty.

Pricing for specific printers - and - Warranty - can be based on an Time plus parts , or a flat rate , depending on model.
Unsupported Printers - not found in the supported devices list will be priced at the unsupported rate and have special pricing based on their model and application.
Warranty - Time plus Parts - With a "Time plus parts" (hourly rate) repair, only the parts replaced and the time required to re-install them will be covered as warranty.
Warranty - Flat rate mini contract - With a "flat rate " repair, If anything fails in the assembly or printed circuit board we serviced, even if we did not work on that part, we will repair or replace it free for Four Months from the date of the original repair. Some restrictions apply .
Warranty Restrictions
The flat rate mini contract only applies to assemblies for which a "Flat Rate " was quoted. If an assembly was not worked on (ie. the power supply) and it fails it will not be covered.
Damage caused by improper handling, incorrect installation, abuse, power surge, or damage caused by something being spilled into the device, is not covered by warranty.
